This is the second meeting of the System Architecture Forum. The first meeting laid the
foundation for a common understanding of the role and value of system architectures and the
practice of systems architecting. The second meeting will focus on architectural descriptions
and models. In particular we want to examine closer the actual informational content that is
communicated, and how and by whom this information is used. The delegates are asked to
consider the following questions:
- What are your preferred models/descriptions that are essential to articulate a system
architecture?
- Who are the users of these descriptions, what are their needs and how are they used?
- How is the time dimension handled? How do the descriptions evolve, and how do their
use change throughout the different life-cycle phases of the product/system?
- Please bring examples if possible. Focus should be on the informational content to better
understand the aspects of systems architectures that are critical to communicate.
